Compete in the Primary

Once your team is prepped and ready, it's time to compete in the preliminary rounds. Each team will compete 2 times, arguing a different case each time. Your argument will be critiqued (you can find the judge's rubric here), and you will be assigned points regarding your solution. Check out a few minutes of this video of the final Nationals round in 2009. For more details, click here!

Check Out the Cases

Check out the cases here! Each case describes an interesting ethical dilemma present in a real-life situation, and it's your job to solve it. Here's the link to the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics website with previous cases.

Prep Your Argument

Now that you've read the cases, it's up to your team to present the best ethical and morally sound solution to the problem. What's the best way to handle the case, and why?

Compete in the Final

The two teams with the most points will have the opportunity to compete in the final round in Smith Hall on Monday, May 16. The teams will battle it out over the best cases. The second place team will win $200, and first place will win $300!

Win $300!

The winning team will recieve $300, a plaque, and will be recognized at the awards banquet at the end of the term. They will also have the opportunity to compete for North Central College on the official NCC Ethics Bowl team at the regional competition next fall!
